Loose Denture Options

Dentures no more !

Are you sick of denture adhesives? Loose uncomfortable dentures?

Durham implant dentist Dr. Mark Bishara provides denture stabilization options for residents of Bowmanville, Whitby, Brooklin and surrounding regions in Durham. Using the latest in dental implant technology including digital implant design (iTero digital impressions), CT (Computerized Tomography) imaging we can finally enable denture wearers to regain their confidence and chew with comfort again. Traditional dental implant treatment requires several visits and months. We use the technique known as All-on-4 which delivers a full set of new, permanent (non removable) teeth in one visit. Imagine undergoing this procedure and leaving the office knowing the significant improvement in your life.

The development of dental implants has rapidly changed how we practice dentistry. Using the latest advances in Cone Beam Computerized Tomography (digital 3D Ct scanning), digital dental implant design (iTero), dental implant placement has become safer, more comfortable, more predictable and cost effective for patients. CT technology provides a 3D image of the jawbone, this means there is no guess work as each case is planned ahead of time. This shortens the number of appointments needed and leads to a more predictable healing period. Digital dental implant design has also become a vast improvement in the last number of years. We use the iTero 3D digital impression system for all our office locations. This means no more goopy gag material for cases and a better fitting final result!

The good news is that there is a solution for denture wearers that have suffered for years and had to live with pain and discomfort from loose fitting dentures, embarrassing situations, low self-confidence and decreased enjoyment of food.

Durham implant dentist Dr. Mark Bishara and the team of Dr. Steve Margolian and Dr. Sheri Margolian have provided dental implant therapy for residents in Bowmanville, Whitby, Brooklin for over 25 years. With three locations in the Durham region, we work closely with frustrated denture wearers who are looking to improve their quality of life. Dr. Bishara openly discusses with denture wearers that when choosing dentures over dental implants, there are physical and psychological consequences that dentures will have on their lifestyle.

Individuals that wear full upper dentures may find that they are unable to taste their food since their denture covers their entire roof of their mouth. Food and beverages will not taste or feel as they once did. As dentures become looser over time due to bone shrinkage, denture wearers will need to mash foods or limit their choices in what they are able to eat. This can directly impact your overall health and well-being.

Prior to dental implants, denture wearers had no options but to use dental adhesives. Today, we do not have to settle for dentures moving or feeling embarrassed. With as little as two dental implants in the lower jaw, full denture wearers can see a great improvement in denture stability. This leads to better chewing, improved nutrition and a more positive outlook on life. With as few as four dental implants, denture wearers can get rid of their denture altogether using the All-on-4 procedure; this provides individuals with a full set of new, permanent (non removable) teeth in one day.
